Billabong was rescued from death row at a gassing shelter in Lafayette, Louisiana in the nick of time and was transported to Bazza in Florida by a group of caring people. She arrived at her new home in Florida in September 2006, on the one-year anniversary of the date I first met Kate in Louisiana. Her story is told in Chapter 17 of Kate&#8217;s book.\u00c2\u00a0Billabong has grown to be a very beautiful and fortunate girl. Whenever I hear from Bazza, I am rewarded for any trying times that I&#8217;ve had in animal rescue.
