Tune in Monday to Showcase Minnesota at 10:00 am to see local author Jenny Pavlovic, the guest speaker at the MVHS Mardi Gras event.

8 State Hurricane Kate chronicles the touching and Jenny’s unforgettable true life story of her journey to rescue Kate, a cattle dog who was stranded on a rooftop for nine days after Hurricane Katrina. Jenny fought to help Kate recover from the horror of flooded New Orleans, bringing her home to Minnesota to heal and begin a new life.

 Jenny will donate $5 to MVHS for every book sold via www.8StateKate.net when you enter “MVHS” on the second line of the address on the online order form.

Jenny Pavlovic will sign her book at the Minnesota Valley Humane Society booth at the Twin Cities Pet Expo at the Minneapolis Convention Center. $5 per book sold at the Pet Expo will be donated to the Minnesota Valley Humane Society.

MVHS invites you for a fabulous night of fun during Mardi Gras: Party for the Animals!  Hear guest speaker and local author Jenny Pavlovic, enjoy a parade of Southern style food, dance to the jazz of the Jumpin’ Jehosaphats, bid on your favorite silent auction items, and participate in the Wall of Wine raffle to win 50 bottles of wine! Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with dinner served at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person, with proceeds benefiting MVHS’ daily operations to care for and find loving homes for surrendered and abandoned pets.
