8 State Hurricane Kate is a gold medal winner in the Animals/Pets category of the 2009 Independent Publisher Book Awards, aka the “IPPY†Awards! On Friday, May 29th, the 13th Annual IPPY Awards will be presented in NYC on the first evening of this year’s Book Expo America. 8 State Kate is also an Indie Excellence Awards Finalist and a ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year finalist (winners tba in NYC on May 30th).
